Mr. Shiv Dadhwal started his journey in the hospitality industry in India before successfully moving to the UK. In 2007, he became an Event Manager at Sukhdev’s Catering & Events. By March 2018, he took over Sukhdev’s Catering & Events, keeping the original name while also introducing his own brand, Swadisht Ltd. Today, the company proudly continues its legacy, originally founded in 1980 as Sukhdev’s Catering Services (SCS), now trading as Swadisht Ltd. Thanks to Mr. Shiv Dadhwal’s visionary leadership, Swadisht Ltd earned Britain’s Asian Wedding Award for Catering in the UK in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024. In 2022, his achievements were further recognized when he received an invitation to the Queen’s Garden Party, highlighting his excellence and standing in the hospitality industry. After achieving great success in the catering sector, Shiv expanded into the restaurant industry with the launch of Starvalley Bar & Restaurant.
Based in Birmingham, Swadisht Ltd has become a trusted professional Indian caterer, specializing in authentic Indian cuisine for weddings, events, and special occasions. Birmingham is known for its diverse culinary scene, and Swadisht Ltd plays a significant role in delivering traditional flavours with modern presentation. With over four decades of legacy since its inception as Sukhdev’s Catering Services in 1980, the company has built a reputation for offering a perfect blend of Taste, Luxury, and Excellent Services. Mr. Shiv started his professional career in India's hospitality sector. He earned a degree in hotel management after finishing his studies, and he started his famous career with a number of notable 5-star hotels in India. He then moved to Dubai and spent the next four years working in the same field there. He successfully made the transfer to the UK after that.
When Mr. Shiv Dadhwal came in the UK and joined Sukhdev's Catering & Events as an Event Manager in 2007, his journey really got going. He engaged himself in every minute facet of catering and culinary arts with an unyielding desire for learning. Since that time, his interest in and commitment to learning the craft of food preparation and presentation have not wavered.
Mr. Shiv has been the company's leader for many years, during which time it has won various awards for its outstanding catering and culinary offerings. In March 2018, he bought the business and kept the trading name Sukhdev's Catering & Events while launching his own brand, Swadisht Ltd.
Through Swadisht Ltd, Mr. Shiv, the company's director, and his staff provide a wide selection of menus and meals. They primarily specialise on Indian and Asian food, with fusion-style dishes as a supplement.
